The HBCU Micro-Scholarship Fund provides immediate relief for students that most grants and loans can’t address. Nearly 50% of students who are at risk of dropping out cite school related expenses like textbooks, housing, and food as their main reasons. Our $250 HBCU Micro-Scholarships help meet those needs instantly to ensure a higher probability of graduating.
Donate – Anyone can make a difference. Our goal is simple: 1,000 scholarships each year! All of us working together can make that a reality.
As a special thank you, all donors contributing $10+/mo, or $100+/yr, will receive a signed copy of Get Back to the Counter.
See What Students Are Saying
Thanks to your scholarship, I was able to purchase all the required textbooks for my courses and even invest in additional school supplies, such as notebooks and study materials.
I have been working hard to save up for college, but with the exorbitant costs of tuition, my part-time jobs haven't been enough. With this scholarship help, I was also able to work less hours and focus on required community service hours.
The micro-scholarship helped me finish my school year strong. At the end of the semester, where random fees and obligations tend to appear, the micro-scholarship gave me a sense of comfort in that regard.
Goal
The need for our HBCU Micro-scholarships has been overwhelming. While we’ve provided over 100 micro-scholarships they represent only .035% of those who applied. We need to do more and with your help we will. Our goal is to provide 1,000 HBCU Micro-scholarships per school year. To do this we need to raise $1,000,000. Every donation brings us one step closer to supporting more students in need, and we invite you to stay connected as we work towards this goal together.
